When first attending the dog park, it is often about letting your dog run loose to play and discover other dogs.  However, the dog park can also be about discipline.

What better reward than a romp in the dog park at Treecourt.  So make them earn it.  Ask them to walk nice with you on their leash when in the parking lot, a pinch collar may be used and is a safe and effective way to gain control. Also, ask them to sit at the gate and wait until you free them with a command. The process takes time, requires patience and results will vary.  Regardless, little interactions such as these will translate into a stronger bond between master and dog as well as give your dog more self control in home situations, such as when guests come to visit.

A tired dog is a good dog, and a disciplined dog is a cognitive dog.  Happy dog parking!
